PDC 05 is in the books, and it’s time for a big exhale. I’m spending the weekend down in Santa Monica with my friend Barrett, and then it’s back to Redmond to get Beta 2 out the door.

This was a very, very big PDC for me this year. I had some code demo’d in Jim Allchin’s keynote (I did the Indigo/Atlas interop code…expect to see some posts here detailing that implementation). It was my first time as an expert at ‘Ask the Experts’. And it was definitely the first time I’ve given a talk at a conference of this magnitude. What an amazing week.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat. The fates did not align in the exactly the way I wanted to and I could never track down some of you (Mr. Reierson *cough*), But it was great to see so many familiar faces again and finally meet some new ones (Mr. Tay!). Hope eveyone made it home safely.

Last year, it was fires. This year, it was power outages. I dont know what it is about PDCs in Los Angeles, but there always seems to be some little disaster to make the beginning of the conference just that much more interesting. Fortunately, this time around I was already on the ground at the convention center when the power went on the fritz so it didnt affect me too much.

Anyway, Ill definitely be in the Product Pavillion on Thursday morning from 9-11 and at Ask the Experts on Thursday night. Fridays my big day Im giving the COM 413 talk (Hosting Services) in 408AB.

Other than that, I
m planning on spending quite a bit of time in the track lounge please come by and say hello!
