Das Blog 1.7 Rocks!

I installed DasBlog 1.7 last night. Like previous DasBlog updates, thisone went easily. The additional requirement to run the command-lineupdater didn’t bother me; the tool ran fine and having my referrer logsde-spammed was totally worth the trivial inconvenience.

First impressions are great – I have to say I’m very impressed with thework that Omar, Scott, and the rest of the DasBlog folks have done onthe 1.7 release. The new anti-spam measures (4 – count ‘em!) are atleast a glimmer of hope in an increasingly dark world. Beyond that,there are some nice backend improvements to the admin engine that Ireally like (the ability to look at referrer logs from past dates isgreat!).

Thanks a lot for your hard work, guys.

Update: Somethings farked withMailToWeblog...getting a NullReferenceException somewhere during thesave process...not sure what's up with that, since manual positingworks fine. Need to investigate.

Update 2: Stack trace looks like this:
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
atnewtelligence.DasBlog.Web.Services.EditServiceImplementation.InternalSaveEntry(Entryentry, String trackBackText, CrosspostInfoCollection crosspostList,SiteConfig siteConfig, ILoggingDataService logService, IBlogDataServicedataService)
at newtelligence.DasBlog.Web.Services.MailToWeblog.Run()

Guess I'll have to go download the code.

File a bug in SF and we'll take a look. Sadly, this is probably a bug that slipped through :-(
