I assure you, I am the canonical Steve Maine

I was ego-surfing Google tonight, and ran across this alternative implementation of Steve Maine:

http://www.606club.co.uk/musicians/stevemaine/stevemaine.htm

He lives in the UK, and is apparently the tenor saxophonist for a band called Burnt Orange.

Three wierd things about this:

1) I used to play saxophone (alto, though, not tenor)
2) He has almost the same glasses as I do
3) He sort of looks like me.

It's wierd to see a picture of someone who has the same name as you.

I feel your pain. Why can't they just get their own names instead of copying off us?Bastards...http://www.bistrotech.net/weblog/CommentView.aspx?guid=c887f183-ec5a-4558-8036-294b6330b517http://www.bistrotech.net/weblog/CommentView.aspx?guid=71e5ec3b-f181-424a-b8f9-159a821ec150

You bring back a memory. When I was a cub reporter at the Fall River Herald News, I used my full name, Sheldon M.Israel.It turned out the business editor for the Providence Journal--a bigger newspaper, 15 miles away--was Sheldon M. Israel. We didn't look at all alike. He was 67 and I was 22.I changed my name to the current shorter style because of that.
